THIS IS A CORPORATE POSITION
SUMMARYASA supports packaged application software. They have the ability to install, configure, monitor, load data, write/maintain interfaces, tune, upgrade, and generally keep the package up and running. They may configure the application to address specific business requirements. The ASA II responds to errors within the software, escalating to the vendor for resolution if they cannot resolve the in-house.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.• Install and test new packaged software systems • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.• Upgrade/patch systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality, compliance and security issue resolution• Provide technical support for software issues our users encounter• Contribute to and maintain system standards.• Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.• Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary.• Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.• Perform ongoing performance tuning, and resource optimization as required• Hands on experience in process automation, best practice approach, technology efficiency, and effectiveness.• Knowledge of Web Services and Services Oriented Architecture is desirable.• Excels at all phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities.• Understands software and hardware requirements of varied departmental packaged systems.• Understands the workflow and process requirements of complex packaged application systems.• Demonstrated ability to be the subject matter expert in supporting, maintaining, and administering complex packaged applications.• Excellent problem solving/analytical skills and knowledge of analytical tools.• Ability to effectively interface with technical and nontechnical staff at all organizational levels.• Understands business function related to the applications.

WORKING CONDITIONSWorking conditions are normal for an office environment.
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS• Knowledge of relational databases, SQL queries• Expertise and experience in the ServiceNow platform is desirable.• Experience supporting packaged application software• Knowledge of Agile SCRUM software development life cycle • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.• Excellent communication and problem solving skills (written and verbal).EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS• Associate degree, or equivalent work experience required. Bachelor's degree desired, preferably in Computer Science or Business Administration.• Minimum of one (1) year experience administering packaged application software. • Hands on experience with system implementation desired.• Vendor management experience preferred.
