TheHead Coach of Training & Development manages, develops and delivers training content for Papa John's International corporate and franchise operations that supports learning objectives for a variety of topics including but not limited to safety, service, management, sales, maintenance, software, restaurant operations and leadership development. Contributes to the success and profitability of the company through delivery of effective and efficient training content that improves staff performance and retention. Support operations leadership by developing global training content that is timely and relevant to the skills, knowledge, and abilities needed for fulfillment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned

  • Facilitate training workshops, presentations and/or learning activities one on one or in groups ranging up to 2,000
  • Use course authoring tools (e.g. Articulate Story Line, Captivate) to create engaging and interactive e-learning.!
  • Develop, organize and maintain content on LMS.
  • Design, develop, author, narrate, record, edit, and implement training content and e-learning including handouts, checklists, manuals, tests/quizzes, job cards, presentations, scripts, video, audio, etc.
  • Produce, edit, and deliver engaging content through web-based, instructor-led, and virtual classroom learning formats.
  • Design and develop learning outcomes assessment activities, including assessment questions, scenarios, and simulations.
  • Proofread and edit content for proper use of grammar, punctuation, style, and brand guidelines.
  • Review and test content for accuracy and usability.
  • Create, collect, organize, and maintain library of reusable assets such as pictures, video, and templates.
  • Research as needed to obtain complete, correct and current information.
  • Translate courses and materials to accommodate global market needs using translation software, services and coordinating with subject matter experts for final review of translated products.
  • Prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Review and evaluate training materials and programs; recommend and make revisions.
  • Work with Director, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to implement learning solutions



  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging, interactive, and effective training and performance support materials that support course learning objectives and enhance performance
  • Demonstrated application of adult learning principles
  • Strong writing skills with focused attention to details with the ability to analyze, organize, and effectively communicate complex ideas through writing
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and provide professional narration for recorded training resources
  • Advanced expertise with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of e-learning technologies and deployment strategies
  • Classroom facilitation skills
  • Strong advisory/partnering skills to work effectively with peers, subject matter experts, and other business partners
  • Ability to learn new software and web-based environments quickly
  • Ability to quickly learn subject matter
  • Resourceful in finding information and fact checking


  • Experience using course authoring and graphics tools (e.g. Articulate Story Line, Captivate.), e-learning tools, learning management software to develop and manage on-line courses and materials
  • Experience in all phases of developing on demand training courses and e-learning
  • Experience narrating, recording, and editing audio and visual training content
  • Minimum 3 years of experience developing training materials
  • Experience in instructional design, curriculum development, manuals, assessments, etc.
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.
