SUMMARYPartners with the Human Resources Business Partner to provide daily support and direction pertaining to human resources initiatives including leading the recruiting efforts for assigned positions within PJFS. Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local laws as well as ethical business practices. Interfaces with specialized HR functions to deliver quality HR services according to departmental and organizational goals and objectives. Reports to the Sr. HR Manager/HRBP.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned• Leads the recruiting function for PJ Food Service to include:• Partnering with PJFS Leadership, QCC Directors and Department Managers to assist in the recruitment and selection of select exempt/non exempt positions (supervisor and above) across the PJFS system.• Consults with the HRBP as needed regarding the recruiting plan, resource needs and strategies to drive business results. • Facilitate various administrative recruiting processes including coordination of new hire requests and approvals, posting positions, conducting reference checks, generating offer letters, communicating with all candidates following interviews and generating various recruiting-related reports.• Act as a subject matter expert and consult with QCC Directors and department managers for hourly team member recruiting.• Assist in the research, development and coordination of recruiting programs and collateral to attract, select and retain candidates; recommend new approaches and procedures to improve department's effectiveness and service and maintain compliance with federal, state and local regulations concerning employment.• Assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, prepares and maintains the policies database and Team Member Handbook.• Participates in compensation studies, answers team member questions related to compensation.• Directs benefit questions to the appropriate area, answers general questions, acts as support and follow-up during open enrollment. • Works with department managers on Leave/Accommodation requests and follows up with team member as needed during the leave of absence.• Ensures job descriptions are accurate and updated to position needs. May participate in recruiting strategy meetings and interviews. Assist with the administration of agency/contract workers.• In conjunction with Sr. HR Manager/HRBP assists with and advises on employee relations issues, to include investigation interviews and collection and preparation of documentation summaries.• Provides data and reports to HR team and PJFS as requested. • Looks for ways to constantly improve by recommending new approaches and practices to improve efficiency of department and services performed.• Support various HR initiatives.• Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.• Fosters and supports a culture of Reward and Recognition and one of Go Left behaviors. DESIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS• Bachelors Degree preferred• Minimum (3) three to (5) five years experience as a Recruiter and/or Human Resources Generalist required• PHR preferred
