Responsibilities

SUMMARY

Papa John's is looking for a Point of Sale (POS) Business Analyst with the International Restaurant Technology team. Direct responsibility to research, source, manage, update, document, and support restaurant technology systems including Point of Sale software and hardware from various vendors. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the primary Project and Vendor manager for the sourcing and implementation of Restaurant POS solutions for franchisees or corporate stores in new countries.
  • Sourcing POS vendors, Call Center solutions, and integrated eCommerce solutions for use within various International markets in the Middle East, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
  • Create work plans and quality assurance scripts for implementing new or modified software and hardware in restaurants
  • Lead new project initiatives directly related to restaurant technology and associated backend systems including 3rd party vendor integrations
  • Manage project tasks and assignments to a successful completion, create process and procedure documentation as necessary
  • Coordinate with outsourced support resources and vendors to ensure that IT policies, standards, and procedures are followed
  • Identify, research, and resolve technical issues and escalate issues to other support teams as necessary
  • Consult with business unit management and personnel to identify and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, data scope, usage, formatting, and security requirements.
  • Continually cross-train with other restaurant technology disciplines including labor and inventory management, eCommerce online ordering systems, to further enhance skillset and backup other members of the team
  • Define and document functional specifications for new or modified business systems, including process flows, business logic, and mapping documents.
  • Complete report specification documents using information gained thru analysis of business functions
  • Consult and coordinate with IS resources (internal and external) to assist in the design and development of automated business systems.
  • Document and Conduct high level integration testing of systems. Provide guidance and support to end users during User Acceptance testing.
  • Review training documentation as needed, providing input to technical writers and assist with training as required.
  • Relative to assigned project deliverables, review bugs reported by franchisees or testers to determine validity before assigning to development for work
  • Other tasks as assigned based upon project needs

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

  • Experience in restaurant POS administration/management, restaurant support, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Must have knowledge of API concepts and how POS interacts with various other technologies within a restaurant environment
  • Proven experience Utilizing project management software to accurately track project scope and timelines
  • Experience with and working knowledge of Restaurant POS and Backoffice applications is required
  • Must have in depth knowledge of restaurant technologies and how they function within the restaurant environment
  • Experience writing traditional requirements documents, use cases and user stories
  • Experience creating wireframes and visual mock-ups
  • Experience reviewing test plans and test cases for requirements coverage
  • Experience with onsite & offshore teams is a plus
  • Logic and system analysis skills
  • Project management skills are required
  • Creative in technical solutions and possesses strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and inform user groups
  • Analytical skills to identify trends and dig into root cause of problems
  • International travel required
  • Preferred:
  • Experience with other restaurant systems such as Kitchen Display Systems, Delivery Management systems, online ordering and loyalty programs, and Call Centers is highly preferred

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree, or equivalent work experience required. Bachelor's degree desired
  • One (1) to three (3) years' experience in POS required
  • Project Management experience preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with attention to detail and thoroughness
  • Previous International Experience preferred
