The Vice President, North American QCC Operations is responsible for leading all North American Quality Control Centers, which produce Papa John's signature fresh dough and provide warehousing and distribution of all ingredients and supplies to the Papa John's restaurants. The position is responsible for driving all aspects of food safety and quality, customer service, operational efficiencies and a culture built on a foundation of the safety, engagement and development of the team members.

  • Able to effectively communicate and give direction verbally and in writing in English through all levels of the organization including front-line team members and the board of directors and Founder.
  • Must be able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of support administration functions including budgeting, development, accounting, engineering, inventory management, transportation, and human resources.
  • Must be team oriented and work well with others in an environment requiring a high degree of flexibility and urgency.
  • Moderate to extensive travel is required.


  • Advanced degree in a business, engineering or organizational development program is preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive senior level responsibility in a manufacturing, warehousing and transportation operation (preferably food industry)
  • Multi-Facility/Plant oversight required
  • Management experience leading large and high-performing teams
  • Demonstrated broad knowledge with manufacturing technology, line operations, warehousing systems and processes, and CDL transportation operations
  • Demonstrated leadership and knowledge of facility safety and compliance

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned

  • Plan, direct and coordinate all dough manufacturing, warehousing and transportation activities throughout the North American Quality Control Center system.
  • Establish operational standards and measures to ensure high quality products and world-class service are delivered consistently to restaurants in a cost effective, safe and efficient manner,.
  • Review and evaluate quality, cost effectiveness, consistency, accuracy and performance to established standards and take appropriate action when necessary to correct discrepancies.
  • Drive a People-First culture built on the foundation of Safety throughout the Quality Control Center system.
  • Ensure compliance of Quality Control Center operations with company policy and all Federal, State and local regulations.
  • Partner with company Leadership to help drive long-term strategic planning for the QCCs.
  • Develop Talent and Leadership capabilities at the Quality Control Center Director and Management levels and drive succession planning and career paths for talent.
  • Lead and/or participate on cross-functional projects driving efficiencies, quality, service, safety, people development.
  • Communicate effectively with the QCC team members, support personnel, PJI Leadership, Restaurant Leadership and franchise advisory council.
  • Manage the financial performance of the North American QCC network including the P&L and capital plan in budgeting, forecasting and actual performance to drive results and return on investment for the company.
  • Perform individual assignments as the Sr. Vice President may direct. Establish and maintain effective work relationships within the department, the Quality Control Center system, Papa John's International and the community.
  • Perform administrative activities necessary for the effective management of the department including provision for the selection and development of team members, pay administration, budget preparation and administration, team member safety, team member counseling and motivation, organizational goals/objectives, and planning, organizing, integrating and measuring the work performed by the operations areas.
