The Papa John’s Foundation for Building Community
  • Papa John's Community Efforts
  • We’re all about sharing

Giving back to our communities is just something we do, like making pizza or providing great careers. The Papa John’s Foundation for Building Community helps us work together for equality, fairness, respect and opportunity for all. In fact, we provided more than $1 million in grants in 2019. We’re also committed to sustainability and reducing our environmental impact. Here are some examples of what we’ve done. We’d love to get you involved, too.

Delivering Thanks during the COVID-19 pandemic

Our amazing team members are doing tremendous work supporting our communities through the COVID-19 pandemic, Delivering Thanks to first responders and frontline workers by donating thousands of pizzas and ensuring everyone at home could have a quality meal delivered to their doorstep.

We donated and delivered to many essential business and charities:

    • Hospitals and healthcare facilities across the country
    • Fire and police departments
    • Food banks
    • Homeless shelters
    • The Salvation Army
    • Volunteers of America
    • Make-A-Wish Foundation
    • Boys & Girls Club locations
    • And many more organizations

    • Building resiliency for our youth

Franchisees and team members participate in an annual day of service, volunteering at their local Boys & Girls Clubs of America with fun activities and pizza parties. We also provide financial support for Youth of the Year events.

    • Papa John’s community support for Historically Black Colleges & Universities
    • Helping HBCUs

We support education for students at Historically Black Colleges & Universities through donations and scholarships. In 2019, we donated half a million dollars to Bennett College to champion the continuing development of young women of color.

    • Papa John’s community support for swim alternatives for families in Metro Louisville
    • In the swim

We donated $90,000 to support swim alternatives for families when Metro Louisville could not afford to open its public pools. Because of our support, over 4,100 kids and their families had the opportunity to swim last summer.
