Data Analytics Marketing Specialist


The Data & Analytics Specialist (Marketing) influences Papa John’s advertising strategy by supporting national and local media buying in alignment with brand promotional strategies. He/she will focus on the data strategy and analytics that will drive investment decisions and measure investment outcomes. This person will help link the intent of media plans to the tactical execution and oversight of media buys to ensure relevant, impactful consumer messaging.  

  • Assist the Director, Media Strategy & Investment Performance in developing and stewarding an always-on, consumer strategy across National and Local media agencies
  • Assist in the creation and ongoing evolution of consumer segmentation and audience strategy
  • Assist in the development of a measurement & learning agenda in partnership with National and Local media agencies
  • Assist in the development and ongoing management of the company’s MarTech/AdTech stack
  • Partner with internal and agency analytics team to develop consumer focused reporting and insights
  • Partner with internal and agency data science resources to support a broad range of business problems using data

Functional Skills:

  • Analytical Skills: foundational capabilities in reading, manipulating, and interpreting data.
  • Coordination & Communication: able to balance multiple projects and work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving: ability to use rigorous logic to solve problems with innovative effective solutions.
  • Platform Proficiency: hands-on-keyboard experience utilizing Google Analytics and/or paid search tools (SA360).
  • Combine data sources to discover insights, identify trends, and investigate anomalies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field

Daily activities may include:

  • Analyze media campaigns and develop audience insights; creating executive summaries to educate less technical resources
  • Support, deliver, and explain reporting across the business to inform users of how reports operate, what they are displaying, and what they mean.
  • Develop measurement and reporting strategies and processes, with a core focus on site analytics, Google Campaign Manager, and Search Ads 360
  • Monitor vendor and agency deliverables to ensure quality
  • Consult on audience segmentation and data visualization
