Director Network Services




Responsible for the strategic direction and the ongoing operation and support of the organization's network and telecommunications services and associated infrastructure. This position leads a team of network and telecommunications personnel responsible for the planning, selection, design, configuration, security, integration, deployment, administration, and health of network and telecommunication infrastructure for our corporate offices, quality control centers, stores, cloud services, and disaster recovery environments. Responsibilities include monitoring usage and available capacity of all assigned infrastructure, equipment, and technical service availability across the enterprise.
  • Develop strategic plans for network and telecommunications services.
  • Provide hands-on systems design and architecture leadership.
  • Provide technical leadership to the network and telecommunication teams.
  • Manage vendor relationships and develop strategic partnerships.
  • Consult with senior management to determine direction, scope, priorities, and expectations of projects and assignments for areas of responsibility.
  • Responsible for executing projects and assignments utilizing accepted project control methodologies and techniques.
  • Work with members of other departments to coordinate projects and activities and resolve any software, hardware, and operation problems that may occur.
  • Oversee the budgeting and long-range planning of network telecommunications systems and projects for Papa John's.
  • Consult with information and digital systems staff to coordinate telecommunications systems capabilities.
  • Prepares activity and progress reports.


  • Experience with Cisco Meraki - full stack
  • Experience with Firewall and load balancing technology
  • Advanced experience with monitoring and performance systems such as SolarWinds NPM/NCM
  • Experience with license management
  • Cloud Services and Solutions experience
  • Advanced understanding of DNS
  • Experience with Cisco ISE a plus
  • Excellent device proficiency; including troubleshooting, network cabling, wiring, and component upgrades

Education, Experience & Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in management information systems or related technical specialty
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Ten (10) years progressive experience in information technology support functions, including seven (7) years in technical management required
  • Experience managing large and complex technical network infrastructure required
  • Experience with Cisco and Cloud infrastructure is strongly preferred
