HR Insights Analyst


Candidate will be responsible for data mining including tracking, trending and interpreting multiple data points to conduct consistent and comprehensive analysis. This includes identifying variances, resolving issues and providing key insights into people related activities such as, recruitment, retention, D&I, engagement, annual performance and/or other HR related initiatives.

Job Purpose:

HR Insights Analyst will collect, analyze and interpret data and information from a variety of systems and sources (i.e., HRIS, payroll outputs, etc.) to identify trends in all areas of Human Resources (i.e., recruitment, employment, benefits, compensation, training, employee relations, policies and procedures, etc.) in support of continuous improvement opportunities.  This role will prepare reports and dashboards, as needed for client groups and/or senior leadership.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Utilize data mining techniques to collect, evaluate, track, trend and analyze internal and external data from multiple systems and sources.
  • Use various tools and techniques to validate, import, clean, merge, and manipulate data to prepare for data analysis.
  • Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations, company policy, and best practices.
  • Work cross functionally with the business to identify data needs and provide analytics, dashboarding, or reporting support.
  • Identify and recommend unique opportunities to locate and collect new data.
  • Ensure integrity, accuracy and quality of data.
  • Collaborate with HR team and internal clients to understand and define people-related business challenges and gather relevant data for analysis.
  • Prepare and deliver ad hoc reports and presentations for senior leadership as needed.
  • Document processes and work performed; maintain record of data sources and methods used to reach conclusions.
  • Identify business opportunities and build dashboards to help users easily navigate through very large and complex data models.
  • Contribute to team projects and assist teammates with various ad-hoc reporting/analytics requests as workloads dictate.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to develop analytical solutions which support cross-functional needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • 5+ years experience in HR database management and Analytics or related role
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology or related field preferred
  • Experience in data mining insights and forecasting and developing related reports
  • Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills required; working knowledge of MS Access preferred.
  • Familiarity with HR systems and processes
  • Demonstrated knowledge of analytical/statistical methods, tools and software applications
  • Experience in Restaurant or Retail Operations preferred
