IT Auditor

THIS IS A CORPORATE POSITION

SUMMARY

The IT Auditor will focus on assisting with the execution of IT audits, including tests of IT General Controls and Application Controls for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.  This role will report to the IT Audit Senior Manager within the Internal Audit department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned

  • Execute IT, operational and compliance audits in accordance with Papa Johns risk-based annual audit plan.
  • Execute tests of IT general controls and application controls to assist management with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and conduct specific audit procedures in support of the Company's external financial audit.
  • Assist with data analytics procedures in support of IT, operational and compliance audits.
  • Effectively use knowledge of IT risks, controls, security environment and company operations to properly identify issues and summarize and communicate results to the audit team and management.
  • Perform effective and efficient audits in conformance with professional and departmental standards, budgets and timelines.
  • Effectively use automated workpapers to properly evidence work performed and document findings.
  • Provide timely status reports to audit management.
  • Draft well-written audit reports to management stating findings and recommendations regarding systems, procedures, internal controls and best practices.
  • Gather management’s responses to audit comments and ongoing corrective action plan updates.

DESIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Accounting or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • 1-2 years of IT audit experience.
  • Professional certification (CISA, CISSP, CISM, CPA, CIA) obtained or in-process preferred.
