Logistics Analyst

THIS IS A CORPORATE POSITION

SUMMARY

The Logistics Analyst will be responsible for providing support for the PJFS Corporate Transportation Team and PJFS Operations by compiling, analyzing, and reporting transportation and logistics data. The LA will support PJFS Transportation projects as directed by leadership. The Logistics Analyst provides direct transportation systems support for the TPL Operations teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Data Collection and Analysis of Transportation and Logistics related data
  • Reporting – Provide detailed and thorough reporting and analysis in various areas of Corporate Transportation as directed by Sr. Logistics Support Manager and Director of Transportation Systems & Support
  • Serve as SME (Subject Matter Expert) for system and ad hoc generated reports from various Transportation systems
  • Provides direct system support for the QCC transportation teams
  • Provides occasional after hours and weekend support for QCC users
  • Conduct transportation process improvement and optimization project work
  • Prepare and input data updates for planned route changes
  • Weekly TPL Driver Payroll Support

DESIRED FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite – Advanced Excel Skills (lookup formulas, pivot tables, charts, graphs, macros, etc)
  • Basic Office Skills – Email and Phone skills
  • Transportation Management Systems familiarity – Shipment management, Asset tracking, dispatch, route design. Examples:
    • Manhattan TPE, Oracle OTM, McLeod LoadMaster, TMW Appian Direct Route, OmniTracks, PeopleNet, etc.

 DESIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • College Degree Preferred – Bachelor’s Degree (Mathematics, Computer Science, Big Data, Analytics, Statistics are preferred)
  • High School Diploma required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The team member frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The team member is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, repetitive use (or motion) of arms and hands, bend, and stoop, and lift up to 10 pounds.
