Manager, Income Tax

THIS IS A CORPORATE POSITION

Coordinate and manage tax compliance process for federal, state and local income tax returns. Assist with the quarterly and annual income tax provisions and income tax audits. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Tax. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Preparation of federal, state, and local income tax returns which includes working with other departments to obtain data needed for preparation of the returns
  • Prepare federal returns for not-for-profit entities (i.e. Papa Funds)
  • Prepare quarterly estimated payments and annual extensions for federal, state and local income tax returns, includes working with financial reporting for data needed and collaborating with the cash management and accounts payable teams on the appropriate method of payment
  • Manage tax compliance software and implement new features and updates
  • Assist in preparation of quarterly income tax provision and reconciliation of tax accounts, including performance of key internal control procedures and completion of precision review
  • Prepare quarterly income tax reserve analysis.
  • Manage and prepare supporting documentation and workpapers for federal and state income tax audits
  • Assist in federal audit
  • Perform tax research for federal, state and local income tax compliance and planning projects
  • Respond to related tax correspondence and research issues as they arise
  • Analyze Work Opportunity Tax Credit data, prepare related reports and troubleshoot issues with vendor, as needed
  • Update and maintain tax effective rate and liability schedules
