Product Manager



The Manager, Product Management will play a key role in planning and executing Papa John's user experience strategies to exceed our business and Brand goals. This individual will serve as the voice of the user and function as the conduit between business goals and technology execution for the Product(s) that he/she will lead. The Manager must ensure the Product(s) effectively address user needs while also maintaining technical integrity and quality.

The scope of the Manager, Product Management's responsibility includes Product strategy, release-level feature choices, economic rationale for every major effort and whole-product thinking. Maintain a holistic view of our digital products in the context of the broader Papa John's business model and must work comfortably with cross-functional stakeholders to create and prioritize the Product(s) roadmap backlog. This position will initially report to the Sr Director, Store Experience.

  • Understand consumer needs and stakeholder priorities to define Product vision and objectives.
  • Tie in user journey mapping, research & analytics for key customer groups to ensure the Product(s) are meeting defined objectives. Maintain a strong understanding of consumer, market, and competitive trends and activities so that future technologies can be leveraged.
  • Ensure that all development for the Product(s) this individual manages are connected to clearly defined business outcomes.
  • Lead the prioritization investment discussion to safeguard that prioritized investments are in line with expected payback for the Product(s). Be transparent about reasoning encouraging input from multiple stakeholders and defending the integrity of the effort.
  • Facilitate and maintain a strategy and roadmap for the Product(s) this individual will lead. Provide day-to-day tactical objectives and quick, just-in-time decisions to answer execution related questions.
  • Work alongside Operations and Technology stakeholders on execution and optimization. Drive acceptance testing and guide QA with logical, meaningful, and testable acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on Product positioning, announcements, customer adoption initiatives, launch activities and broader customer engagement.
  • Continuously evaluate progress and communicate successes and learnings. Take ownership for outcomes and ensure there is financial P&L transparency and accountability.
  • Communicate progress, recommendations and obstacles to key stakeholders.



  • BS/BA degree required, MBA preferred.
  • Proven understanding of digital technology and applying solutions to business strategy. Product management experience preferred.
  • Ability to translate and articulate business needs into software requirements/User Stories.
  • Excellent communication skills and understanding of software development process.
  • Agile process experience in organizing and guiding teams to succeed.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic and flexible environment.
