Regional Activation Director


The Regional Activation Director (West Region) is responsible for driving brand consideration at the local level by leveraging Papa John's national campaigns, promotions, and marketing strategies. He/she will be providing direct marketing support for their Divisional VP. He/she will be responsible for measuring the marketing impact for new products, customer feedback, and impact on revenue and margin targets as part of PJI's business strategy. He/she will help execute the broader marketing strategy at the local level, working with agencies and operators to drive brand engagement. He/she will communicate regularly with key operators on marketing strategies and effectiveness. This role is responsible for driving marketing strategies at the local level in alignment with the broader business strategy and performance targets.

  • Effectively drives brand consideration at a local level through the adoption and implementation of national marketing strategies
  • Provide direct marketing support to Divisional VP; execute local programs that deliver against business goals and support the broader national plan in partnership with the Operations Excellence team
  • Builds effective working relationships with advertising agencies and key operators to drive engagement and support of brand strategies
  • Hold agencies and franchisees accountable for compliance and delivery of the brand's strategic plan at a local level
  • Serve as subject matter expert (SME) on regularly scheduled regional calls, providing relevant marketing updates and key field initiatives
  • Facilitate development of commercial pipeline through test market recruitment, engagement, and support
  • Bring visibility to marketing leadership of both opportunities to advance the organization's strategic plan, as well as potential roadblocks to adoption
  • Stay abreast of market trends and customer preferences to identify innovation opportunities

Education, Experience & Certifications:

  • 8 + years of proven experience in marketing, building sales in a multi-unit environment; QSR and franchise systems are a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing; MBA preferred
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and passion for helping franchisees succeed
  • Possesses keen knowledge of partnership marketing principles and has a proven successful execution track-record
  • Current knowledge and experience in all facets of marketing, with strong media background
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to adjust style based on audience size/composition
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time
