Job Summary
Prepares financial analyses and research in such areas as sales and expense trending, actual vs. budget analysis, future revenues and expenditures, cost and labor analysis and market performance reviews. Support and participate in the budgeting and forecasting. Assist team with budget creation and various monthly P&L analysis. Assist with special projects and requests.
Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned)
- Reporting - Preparation & Distribution: profit/loss, account analysis, market trends, food cost, sales trends, actual vs. budget and other miscellaneous financial reports and analysis.
- Assist in the annual budget process and changes throughout the year (forecasts, new stores, etc.).
- Help with the maintenance of budget systems. Analysts are often assigned individual account level budget responsibilities which are reviewed and consolidated by the Budget Manager.
- Serve as a financial contact for Operations Vice Presidents
- Assist with special requests and projects for various teams, including but not limited to promotional cost analysis, bonus program modeling and other miscellaneous account / P&L line item analysis.
Education, Experience & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree required in Finance or Accounting
- Five (5) plus years’ experience required
Functional Skills
- Working knowledge of accounting/financial theory and practice
- Experience in budgets
- Demonstrated research skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient PC skills and experience with financial applications (Excel, Word, Hyperion, Oracle Financials)
- Strong organizational and project management skills
