Job Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst supporting a fast-paced, ever-changing QSR company with focus on Corporate Departments and SG&A reporting is responsible for analyzing financial data related to the company's corporate departments and support functions. The job duties may include:
Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned)
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets for the company's corporate departments and support functions. Analyze financial performance and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and provide insights to senior management.
- SG&A Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of the company's Selling, General, and Administrative (SG&A) expenses, including payroll, benefits, rent, and other overhead costs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to optimize SG&A spending.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports related to corporate departments and support functions, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data and reporting.
- Cost Allocation: Develop and implement cost allocation methodologies to accurately allocate corporate overhead expenses to individual business units or operating divisions.
- Business Partnering: Serve as a financial business partner to corporate departments and support functions. Collaborate with departmental leadership to develop financial plans and budgets that align with overall company strategy. Work cross functionally with the Accounting team to ensure financials are timely and accurately reported (accruals, amortization, etc)
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting related to corporate departments and support functions. Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
Education, Experience & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree required in Finance or Accounting
- Two (2) plus years’ experience required
Functional Skills
- Working knowledge of accounting/financial theory and practice
- Experience in budgets
- Demonstrated research skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient PC skills and experience with financial applications (Excel, Word, Hyperion, Oracle Financials)
- Strong organizational and project management skills
