Sr Dir Internal Communications

THIS IS A CORPORATE POSITION

Responsibilities

Defines the vision and leads the strategy for communicating to internal audiences including team members and franchisees. Builds best-in-class capabilities and tools to improve the employee experience and support business goals.

  • Consults with internal leaders and partners, especially HR, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Franchise Advisory Council, to help diagnose and address information needs
  • Oversees all internal communications channels companywide including the annual operators conference, town halls and other meetings, team member events, weekly updates and technology platforms, continuously looking to improve their effectiveness
  • Oversees the development and consistent delivery of relevant, actionable and compelling content to franchisees and corporate employees alike
  • Defines clear, measurable goals and uses to data to drive improvements
  • Builds a high-functioning internal team and leverages external partners, as needed, to execute outstanding work

Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, often under tight deadlines
  • Creative and willing to do what's never been done, while bringing people along with change
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Strong coach/mentor to team members
  • Experience as a trusted partner to the most senior leaders of a company
  • 10+ years internal communications experience working in a corporate environment
  • Experience communicating through significant culture change within a company
  • Able to be hands-on, as needed, with the execution as well as operating at a strategic level
  • Experience with a franchise company preferred
