TheTransportation Fleet Support Manager is responsible for supporting the company's Class 8 Tractor-Trailer fleet programs. They will manage the administration of on time and efficient performance of all equipment rentals, repairs, servicing, and maintenance of transportation work and equipment. They will also provide reporting on as needed basis, to include equipment utilization review, PM compliance, trailer and tractor lease oversight, and other transportation equipment related activities as needed. Provide Corporate Transportation support as needed. Reports to the Director of Transportation and Support.


Do you have what it takes?

  • Assist Senior Transportation Manager in recommendations and processes to help control transportation expense levels.
  • Coordinate special projects, i.e.: Fleet appearance, equipment campaigns, Telematics Hardware/Software installations, road call reduction, safety meeting information and other projects as assigned.
  • Assists in the assurance of compliance with DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations as they apply to maintenance.
  • Partner with the Center Transportation Managers and equipment/service providers to review maintenance invoices as well as research and rectify Accounts Payable discrepancies.
  • Work with PJFS business owners to develop sustainable, supportable business processes, and configure technology solutions to support business needs.
  • Provide scheduled and ad hoc reporting and analysis as related to all transportation safety and hiring criteria.
  • Perform the administrative activities necessary for managing efficient fleet programs and supporting organizational goals/objectives and planning.
  • Assist in the management of the fuel card program to analyze fuel expense and serve as the point of contact for fuel card administration and support.


  • Must be able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of refrigerated transportation operations, to include equipment requirements with regards to all DOT Rules and Regulations, strong interpersonal communications, and strategic planning processes.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Transportation related technology to include TMS Solutions, OBC usage, centralized PO and cost control solutions.
  • Must be team oriented and work well with others in an environment requiring a high degree of flexibility


  • Minimum (5) years within Transportation Operations (i.e. dispatch operations, load/route planning, etc.) and/or Operations Support experience required
  • HS Diploma/GED required.
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).


  • Approximately 10% travel required
