Job Summary

The International Export Specialist II is responsible for handling all aspects of shipments to our international customers, including Quality Control Centers (QCC’s) and third-party distributors, from order receipt through customs clearance and delivery. Aspects include product preparation and labeling, determination of certificates, documentation and licenses, as well as other export/import regulations or requirements. Work closely with cross functional teams including QCC personnel, inventory management, inbound logistics, accounts payable and receivable, global supply chain and operations. Research new and existing market requirements and work with Export management team on special projects.

Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned)

  • •    Required to stage/inspect product and/or load containers or trucks, which may require use of a forklift or other similar equipment.
    •    Research new and existing market requirements (documentation, labeling, packaging, etc..) in coordination with international customer, cross functional teams, and U.S. and foreign agencies.
    •    Work with agencies and Export management team to ensure compliance on all shipments.
    •    Coordinate with QCC Distribution and Centralized Inventory Management (CIM) teams to ensure cost effectiveness, both on inbound inventory and outbound shipments.
    •    Prepare all export/import documentation and product labels.
    •    Coordinate RFQ’s, bookings and freight movements with freight forwarders and carriers.
    •    Effectively communicate with customers regarding any changes, delays, issues with any products or shipments.
    •    Investigate and coordinate any credit requests on all international shipments.
    •    Research and oversee aspects of various Free Trade Agreements coinciding with export shipments.
    •    Work with Export team and CIM to manage inventory of international specific items.
    •    Oversee all aspects of USDA inspections for meat and poultry loads to various markets.
    •    Must be willing to attend offsite training and/or obtain various certifications upon request from management team.
    •    Must be available to respond to emergency/urgent situations outside normal business hours.
    •    International and/or domestic travel may be required.
