Job Summary

The Senior Financial Systems Engineer is responsible for maintaining and supporting financial systems at Papa Johns while also participating in system implementations. A qualified individual exhibits leadership abilities along with technical programming expertise. Additionally, this role requires an in-depth knowledge of financial systems to streamline operations and support organizational objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities (other duties as assigned)

  • Lead production support and maintenance activities including bug fixes, problem resolution, root cause analysis, and upgrades.

  • Develop, modify, and troubleshoot financial system software and applications.

  • Collaborate with finance, IT, and other departments to understand system requirements and deliver solutions.

  • Design and implement integrations between financial systems and other platforms.

  • Analyze and optimize system performance to enhance user experience.

  • Create documentation, user guides, and training materials for system users.

  • Ensure the security, reliability, and compliance of financial systems.

  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance, including bug fixes and upgrades.

Education, Experience & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of experience implementing Enterprise Financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday).


Skills

  • Proficiency in SQL and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL)

  • Experience with various integration patterns (e.g., APIs, SFTP, prebuilt integrations)

  • Experience with multidimensional data cubes (e.g., Oracle Essbase)

  • Analytical Skills: Utilizes data to generate insights for operational excellence.

  • Communication Skills: Clearly and effectively communicates across the organization    

  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Applies logic to solve problems by creating effective and innovative solutions.

  • Process Improvement Skills:  Strives to continually improve.

  • Planning & Prioritization:  Prioritizes work against the measure of highest impact vs. highest value.
