Manager, Internal Communications – Storytelling & Channels T

The Manager, Internal Communications will play a lead role in driving the strategy, development and distribution of day-to-day news, announcements and compelling stories to engage Papa Johns team members across various audiences. They will build strong, collaborative relationships with business experts to identify, curate and produce high impact storytelling content, with a focus on bringing to life Papa Johns’ purpose, values and culture. This multifaceted, culturally-savvy team player will build and manage both long and short-term editorial calendars, understand how to reach diverse, widespread audiences with the right channel/messaging mix, and have a desire to continually innovate and improve the company’s internal communications efforts. This role reports to the company’s Senior Director, Internal Communications, and will work collaboratively across the broader Communications and People Experience function to support multi-audience storytelling approaches.
 

Duties & Responsibilities (other duties as assigned) 

  • Manage the master Internal Communications editorial calendar; ensuring its kept up to date on a weekly basis and ensuring that future campaigns are planned in a proactive manner

  • Develop the internal communication teams overall strategy & storytelling approach for our field team members across core channels including our enterprise social network, company intranet site, Email Newsletters and other targeted channels as needed.

  • Partner with the external communications and social media teams to create and cross-promote 360-degree stories across both internal and external channels (i.e., Papa Johns external blog and LinkedIn).

  • Establish collaborative relationships with subject matter experts across the business and create efficient processes for generating strong story leads throughout the business.

  • Concept, curate and develop creative content and channel strategies on a variety of company news topics, including brand promotions, product and technology innovations, supply chain & operations initiatives, and corporate responsibility efforts.

  • Drive communications around recognition and culture to field team member audiences.

  • Create innovative communications plans and tactics to engage employees in key tentpole campaigns throughout the year.

  • Measure employee feedback and sentiment across internal communications channels; use a data-driven approach to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Craft, ghostwrite and edit email content, articles and video. Manage publishing and distribution of content across various internal communications channels.
