Engineer IV, Store/Digital

Job Summary

The Engineer IV develops, encodes, tests, debugs, and documents. The candidate will prepare project specifications and diagrams and develop code. This role is responsible for the development of Papa John’s applications.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead small projects and contribute to driving technical decisions.
• Follow best code standards, ensure development standards are adhered (i.e., coding syntax, look and feel, commenting methods). Test code using structured testing methodology and confirm applications meet the specification.
• Assist team junior-level engineers in developmental skills, and contribute to improving developer experience.
• Work with team members to prototype, refine, test, and debug applications to meet needs. Provide technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems, or questions about developed software. Train internal and end users and monitor applications after implementing features.
• Write and maintain technical specifications and documentation to describe program development, coding, testing, changes, and corrections, installation, and operation of developed software. Review the written documentation by others.
