Job Summary

The QCC Maintenance Technician I provides basic upkeep and repair for aspects of the production and facility equipment in our center to ensure or improve production efficiency. As experience and proficiency are gained, assignments may become more varied with less direct supervision.

Overview: 

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. WE are a leading food processing plant dedicated to producing high-quality food products. The Maintenance Technician will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation, safety, and reliability of our equipment and facilities. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on production machinery, equipment, and facility infrastructure to ensure optimal performance. 

- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively. 

- Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and replacements as per maintenance schedules. 

- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems. 

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory management for parts and supplies. 

- Collaborate with production staff to minimize downtime and ensure a safe working environment. 

- Comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies in all maintenance activities. 

- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and reliability of machinery and processes. 

- Respond to emergency breakdowns and service calls in a timely manner. 

 

Qualifications: 

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in maintenance, mechanics, or a related field is preferred. 

- Minimum [2 years] experience in maintenance within a food processing, manufacturing, or similar environment. 

- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. 

- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. 

- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards is a plus. 

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills. 

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed. 

- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
